What kind of companies exhibit at Lineapelle Milano?
If it is your first edition, it helps to know how the fair is organised. Lineapelle is the world's leading trade fair for leather, accessories, components, fabrics and synthetics serving footwear, leather goods, garments and furniture. Around 1,200 exhibitors from more than 45 countries show across halls 9, 11, 13, 15, 22 and 24. They fall into five clear groups:
- Tanneries and finished leather producers — companies like ours, selling by article and colour card: calf, goat, sheep, bovine and exotic hides. Mostly Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Indian and Brazilian houses.
- Components and accessories — soles, heels, insoles, metal trims, buckles, zips, threads and hardware.
- Fabrics and synthetics — textile uppers, linings, technical materials and bio-based leather alternatives.
- Chemicals and tanning technology — retanning agents, pigments, finishes, and machinery for tanneries.
- Trend and design services — the fair's own trend areas, colour authorities, CAD and 3D studios.
Who attends as a visitor?
The buyer profile is fairly consistent: footwear and handbag brands, sourcing offices and agents, product developers and material managers, pattern and prototype workshops, industrial manufacturers, and a growing number of small independent leather goods makers looking for a supplier who will sell them a single hide rather than a full production lot. If you are in that last group, that is exactly how we work.
Why stop at Hall 11, F08–F10
T.L. San Martín is a third-generation Spanish tannery in Elda, Alicante, finishing leather since the 1990s and audited LWG Gold (Leather Working Group, category E, crust to finished leather). We work mainly for footwear, handbags and small leather goods, with goat and calf as core substrates and thicknesses from 0.6 to 1.6 mm.
Three reasons brands tend to stay at the table:
- Stock service, no minimums. Most articles ship from the shelf in Elda — one hide or a thousand. Only embossed articles need to be consulted.
- Full traceability. Every article carries a Digital Product Passport aligned with the incoming EU ESPR framework: animal, thickness, hide size, crust origin, finishing components and certification.
- Samples in 3–5 days. Ask at the stand or order from the online leather library; they leave Elda for anywhere in the world.
What is new in FW27-28
The collection is built around four material directions, all in stock and all sampleable:
- Deep Texture — embossed and textured articles, croco and reptile grains on goat and calf.
- Colour & Grain — nappa and natural-grain leathers in the season's palette: burnished oxblood, espresso chocolate, chestnut cognac, warm clay, moss.
- Pattern Play — checks and prints, including the new Edinburgh, Oban and Glasgow tartan-inspired articles.
- Croco & Shine — metallics, patents and laminated finishes, the Galaxy family included.
Each direction is cross-matched with live trend signals in our Trend OS, so you can see which articles answer which trend before committing to a development.
