Leather hotel and spa slippers: guest, spa and staff lines

The room slipper is the most used — and most discarded — amenity in the hotel. A quality leather-and-textile line turns that single-use pair into an object the guest remembers, and in the spa and for staff, into equipment that lasts seasons.

We produce made-to-measure hotel slippers in leather — a guest-room line, a spa line and a staff line — and we supply the leather to amenity manufacturers who run their own production. Leather tanned and finished at origin in Elda, colour-matched to the hotel's brand, LWG Gold certified, with runs viable from boutique-hotel scale.

Three lines, three specifications

"Hotel slipper" is really three different products, each with its own material demands:

LineUseMaterial specification
Guest roomIn-stay use; in suites, a piece guests keep or buyVegetable-tanned leather insole (manages moisture and temperature), nappa or light suede upper 0.8–1.1 mm, textile lining
Spa & wellnessWet areas, thermal circuitWater-resistant finished articles, certifiable non-slip sole, construction that tolerates frequent cleaning
StaffHousekeeping, spa and back-of-house teamsHeavier-gauge leather (1.2–1.6 mm) with abrasion resistance, comfort insole for 8-hour shifts

The logic is the same we apply to the footwear leather we supply to brands: the material is specified by function, not from a catalogue. Gauge, tannage and finish change per line — the same discipline behind our footwear-leather articles.

We make the slipper — or supply the leather

There are two ways to work with us, and we pick the right one per project:

Either way, the starting point is the same: an approved physical sample before any series is committed.

Credentials: TL San Martín tans and finishes leather in Elda, Alicante since 1995 — the heart of Spain's footwear cluster — LWG Gold-rated and powered by on-site solar. We have supplied footwear leather to European brands for three decades; the amenity line applies that same standard to the hotel.

A sustainability claim the hotel can actually sign

The disposable slipper is one waste item per guest per stay — a line hotel groups' ESG reports can no longer ignore. The leather alternative stands on verifiable facts: LWG Gold audited tanning, hide traceability to origin, vegetable and chrome-free options for the strictest briefs, and a service life measured in seasons, not stays. It is the difference between "we eliminated plastics" as a slogan and as an accounting line.

Cost, minimums and lead time

Each line is quoted per project. The variables: the leather article per line, the construction (guest, spa or staff), personalisation and run volume. Runs are viable from boutique-hotel scale; a first sample takes 1–2 weeks from an approved technical spec, because tanning and finishing happen in our own plant. Send the number of keys, the lines you need and your calendar, and our technical team replies with a quote within 72 hours.

Frequently asked questions

Why leather instead of disposables?

The non-woven disposable slipper is the most discarded amenity in the hotel: one pair per guest per stay. A quality leather-and-textile slipper reads as part of the experience, and in spa and staff lines it lasts entire seasons with proper cleaning.

Which leathers per line?

Guest room: vegetable-tanned insole + nappa or light suede. Spa: water-resistant finishes and non-slip sole. Staff: heavier gauges with abrasion resistance. All tanned and finished in Elda.

Do you make the slipper or supply the leather?

Both: finished product within our amenity programme, or leather in hides/cut for your regular manufacturer, colour-matched and consistent across batches.

Can they carry our branding?

Yes: embossed logo on vamp or insole, colour to brand standard, binding and linings matched to the room or spa programme, discreet size marking.

Minimums and lead time?

Programme runs start at 300 pairs, counted across the guest-room, spa and staff lines made from the same batch. First sample in 1–2 weeks from an approved spec; series after sign-off. Quote within 72 hours.
